Invisalign for Adults is the Answer for Straight Teeth (But What is Invisalign)?

Invisalign treatment involves using a custom-crafted series of aligners to gradually align your teeth perfectly without metal wires or brackets. These aligners are clear and therefore are not nearly as noticeable as regular braces (which is great for adults).

In other words, as an adult, you get all of the benefits of traditional braces (if you only have mild to moderate teeth crowding) without having to actually wear metal braces.

How does Invisalign Work?

While our orthodontist can explain it in more detail, here is how the process works:

You’ll have your initial consultation to assess your needs and to determine if you are a good candidate for Invisalign.

If you are a candidate, we will take an impression of your teeth that will be used to form your first set of Invisalign aligners.

You’ll receive a new set of aligners every 2-4 weeks (based on your treatment projection). These series of aligners will work gradually over a period of 12-24 months (for most patients) to straighten your teeth.

Note: Patient compliance is extremely important with any orthodontic procedure and Invisalign is no different.

We encourage you to wear your aligners 20-22 hours per day, but it’s important to note that they are removable if you have a wedding, reunion, job interview, or other special occasion where you would prefer not to wear them.
