Dr. Barnes first realized he would like to be in the dental profession when he was very young. From his early experiences, Dr. Barnes noticed how impactful dentistry is to someone's health and overall well-being.
While in dental school, Dr. Barnes was able to learn that orthodontic treatment can set patients up for a positive occlusion that they may be able to use throughout the rest of their life. Dr. Barnes was able to solidify his general dentistry knowledge by completing an advanced education of general dentistry certificate at the University of Mississippi before returning to Augusta University Dental College of Georgia to complete his orthodontic certificate.
Dr. Barnes continues to lead by being clinical director of orthodontic treatment at Oak Dental Parters. This gives him the ability to mentor younger orthodontists as well as ensure that all orthodontic cases are held to the highest standards.
